Alumni Advisory Board

The Alumni Advisory Board was formed to provide guidance and advice to the Chapter on its path to success.

Members:

Kurt Carrasquilla
Kurt joined Pi Kappa Alpha in Fall '89 and held several positions including IMC, SC, Pledge Educator, and IFC Representative. He holds a BS in Finance (SJSU), MBA in Finance (Golden Gate University), Financial Planning Certificate (Cal Berkeley), and is a graduate of the Private Wealth Management Program (Wharton School). In addition to his Vice President of Wealth Management position at Smith Barney, he also teaches an investment class in the CFP Program for the University of California, Berkeley.

Rob Cohen
Rob Joined Pi Kappa Alpha in the Spring of 1989. As an active, he held the offices of Vice President, Sergeant-at- Arms, IFC representative, and he was involved with various aspects of Pledge Education. Rob received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Economics from SJSU in 1992. After working several years in corporate America, he decided to obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West and later an advanced certification from The National Academy of Sports Medicine. He has been practicing for nine years specializing in pain management and injury rehabilitation.

Walker Kellogg
Walker joined the Pi Kappa Alpha Colony in Spring ’01. He continues to serve the Delta Pi Chapter on the Alumni Advisory Board and has previously held several positions including Rush Chairman Spring ’01, Colony President Spring ’01 through Spring ‘02, and Chapter President Spring ’02 through Spring ‘03. He served the San Jose State Greek system as IFC President from Fall ’03 to Fall ’04. Walker is a member of the Legends of Delta Pi Family. He is Kunal Mehta’s Little Bro and the Big Bro to Paul Marc, Mudit Gupta, and Neal Blasco. Walker is an Energy Engineer and Sustainability Consultant for Salas O'Brien Engineers in San Jose, CA. He is passionate about energy efficiency and sustainable design and enjoys gardening, photography, reading, green architecture, and mountain biking.

John Lake
John joined Pi Kappa Alpha in the Fall of 1985 and as an active member held several positions including IMC and SC. He graduated from SJSU with a BA degree in History and earned an MBA from Santa Clara University. With over 15 years of management experience, largely with high-growth technology firms in Silicon Valley, John currently works as the Director of Information Systems for Panasas, Inc. in Fremont, CA while also serving as president of the Alumni Advisory Board.

Vincent Marino
Vincent joined Pi Kappa Alpha in the Fall of 1985. As an active member he held several positions including Secretary, Historian, IFC Representative and Firetruck Chairman. He graduated from SJSU with a BS degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Vince currently works with the Federal Government at VMware, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA. Vincent was a member of the original Housing Corporation formed to manage the re-chartered PIKE house in the early 2000’s and joined the Alumni Advisory Board in 2009.

Rob Sanchez
Rob originally pledged in Spring ’90; however, when the Chapter was put on suspension the initiation was deferred until Fall ‘90. He used those summer months to help the house regain their good standing with our National HQ and was initiated with 12 Pledge Bros. He has 2 Little Bros - Adam Terry and Chris Langmayer and remains great friends with his Big Bro - Greg Quadrini, who resides in Chicago. Rob served as Social, House and Philanthropy Chairman. Additionally, he was an IFC Rep who was instrumental in solidifying Greek Relations. As Delta Pi's Chapter Advisor he is striving towards the first Smythe Award. Rob graduated from SJSU in 1996 with an Advertising Major and a Psychology Minor. While in college, Rob partnered with a few Brothers to launch 4 cellular phone stores and is the Founder of The California Cigar Company. He has been working in Technology sales during and after graduation. Currently, Rob is opening a handful of Melting Pot fondue restaurants and enjoys his role as Chapter Advisor.

Sean Stanton
Sean pledged Pi Kappa Alpha in the Fall of 1987 and held the offices of Sergeant at Arms as well as Associate Pledge Educator during his active years. While at SJSU, Sean majored in Clinical Counseling Psychology and minored in Spanish. He has remained an active participant in the alumni community and officially joined the Alumni Advisory Board in the Fall of 2006. Sean remains very committed to the different mentoring programs for the active members of the Chapter and for recent graduates. Further, Sean has created a professional networking group on LinkedIn for the alumni of Delta Pi to stay connected and to help active members secure internships and other job placement opportunities.

John Van Metre
John Van Metre joined the Pike Colony in Spring '01. He served Delta Pi in a number of roles including; Secretary of the colony from Fall '02 through Fall '03, President of the chapter from Spring '03 to Fall '03, House Manager from Spring '04 through Fall '04, and as Housing Advisor from Summer '05 to present. He graduated from SJSU with a BS in Business Management in Fall '04, and is currently attending Graduate School at Santa Clara University pursuing an MBA. He works as an Account Executive at Fullscope, inc., a Microsoft Business Solutions enterprise software reseller.
