Leadership Pi Kappa Alpha has a long tradition of creating young leaders on campus. The international Fraternity provides semesterly and yearly leadership training opportunities, called Pike University, to help further our member's skills in this area. As such, Pikes have been a force on campus and in the Greek system since its founding. Since our rechartering in 2002, there have been two Pike presidents of the inter-Fraternal Council, as well as six Vice Presidents and Treasurers. SJSU's Homecoming King for Fall 2007 was a Pike, and our chapter has been running the Order of Omega (a Greek honors society) for three years. Pikes have also participate in other areas of campus life. Pikes founded the Foosball and Surf clubs at SJSU, while our members are also in charge of the San Jose State Men's Water Polo Team and a major influence in the Men's Rugby Team. More important than all of the accolades and positions are the skills learned by every member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Every member, from the executive board to the campus commuter, has the chance to lead his brothers towards their goals of further success. There is a reason employers are always pleased to see an applicant is a Greek, and that is because these organizations give every member a chance to have a voice and make a positive impact, and Pikes is no exception.
